Set in a hundred-year-old heritage building, Wilfred’s in one of the best recent additions to the restaurant scene in Oliver. Open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, this modern cafe and restaurant might just be a new neighbourhood treasure.

Formerly a part of the Molson Brewing facility, Wilfred’s has revamped the brick space to reflect a new diner experience, complete with booths, bar stools, and a fully stocked bar. Named after one of the owners’ fathers, the purpose of Wilfred’s is to create a welcoming environment that cherishes the surrounding community.

Swing by in the morning for a little pastry and a coffee. Feeling healthy? They also make smoothies to order. Or, try their classic lunch items like lunch grilled cheese, a soup, or a cheeseburger. Alternatively, you can spruce things up a little with Barley Risotto or a Fried Chicken and Proscuitto Cutlet.

Dinner is where we think that Wilfred’s truly shines, though. You should get a caesar salad and the brown butter beets to start. Then, we recommend sharing the baked pasta and the absolutely delicious dry-aged striploin for your main course. Craving a little dessert? Classics like lime pie, a Sunday or apple fritters are there for you.

Also, you should know that Wilfred’s does weekly specials and a Sunday night supper. Follow them on Instagram to stay up to date.

Before you decide to eat at your old standby, think about Wilfred’s the next time you want to eat out.
